Please see much more here on the purpose and aims behind the formation of Therapy for Carers. I have a personal interest in helping Carers as much as I possibly can as I am both a Carer and also a Therapist. For myself Caring has been both rewarding and satisfying but also very challenging at times more than others. It can be limiting and it can be stressful and yet it is also fulfilling in that you as a Carer are giving in the most open and compassionate way possible to help and assist a vulnerable person. Of course it can place significant barriers in the way of career development, socialising and also in terms of forming and maintaining relationships. There can be large financial hardships and difficulties plus potential minefields in terms of legal documentation and other medical appointments.
My desire, my passion is to make Therapy for Carers a centre of resources with links to beneficial organisations, articles of interest and worth plus help and assistance to Carers in terms of high quality but affordable therapy.
My own professional training is in Clinical Hypnotherapy and NLP as well as Psychotherapy. However, I also know many therapists in different disciplines and it would be my sincere hope that I would be able to provide a portal for access to other affordable therapies.
I would also be delighted to hear from you if you have any suggestions and ideas to make this site come alive and to create a vibrant community hub of dedicated people aiming to help each other. So whether you are a Carer voluntary or paid or are a therapist with an interest in Therapy for Carers and the ideas behind it. Or whether you are a charity with an interest in the field. Please get in touch!
